Little League Major - Rays Charter Melbourne Angels defeat Melbourne Dodgers 8-7

It was a super Grand Final befitting of the final score 8-7. Gallantry is perhaps the word I would use to describe our mighty Dodgers. Yes, Sir, they were courageous, they had backbone and they had fortitude.

As disappointing as it is to lose a GF where we have been undefeated for the entire season, our team can hold their heads up high and be proud of the collective strength as a team of winners where every player had some unbelievable contribution to make. Our coaches, Chris and Darren,  can similarly be praised for paving the path along which this team walked. It was nothing short of a brilliant effort.

Masters Over 38 East Grand Final Match report

A memorable come from behind 9-4 win that highlighted our faith in each other and genuine depth in the line-up that a lot of teams don't have. Once again we had tremendous crowd support from many club members as well as Shane's team, Sticks and a lot of the firsts cheering our every out, especially the ones that Skinny caught. Malcolm once again triumphed in the kitchen, and the cold beers flowed until the wee hours of the morning.

4 Junior teams through to Grand Finals!

Melbourne won all 4 semi finals Friday night and 4 teams will play next friday evening in Grand Finals, 3 of them at Surrey Park. Our junior league team had a comprehensive win over Malvern 11-1 whilst our 2 Little League Major teams won and will play each other for the pennant. Our Little League minor team also won against Blackburn at Malvern. Go Demons. The U16's were washed out on Sunday but have a replay this weekend against Waverley for the right to challenge in the State final.

The Division 4 East team will play Blackburn at Blackburn Sunday 2pm. The Junior league team is at Surrey Park Friday along with the Little League Dodgers, LL Angels are at Malvern, while the U16 State team will play at Waverley Sunday morning.

Congratulations to Life Member Terry Keyhoe who turned 70 last Sunday

Congratulations to Life Member Terry Keyhoe who turned 70 last Sunday. After asking club coaches for 30 years for a shot on the mound, he finally got his chance, throwing in the first pitch of the DIV 1 game against Preston Feb 15th.
