1967 – Melbourne vs Coburg – Won 2-1

Melbourne defeated Coburg 2-1, on the back of Doug Provis's pitching and a game changing triple by Ken Stephens, ending a 21 year drought of A Grade Premierships.

Ken Stephens - one of the greats of Victorian baseball - and a fantastic person around the Club - player in multiple positions, a member of the VBA team of the century and MCC Hall of Fame, not just a great pitcher but a handy outfielder and hitter, played outfield in the 1967 Grand Final and hit a crucial triple that helped us to the win.

He also earlier coached the Club, and then coached junior teams once his sons began playing, later an important club sponsor - just a fantastic Club person everyone would speak highly of.
